Job Description:
Copia is seeking a Manager, Procurement and Logistics to provide key procurement and logistics support to execute on a multi-gigawatt pipeline of projects under pre-construction planning or in construction. This role requires experience in the Renewable Energy Industry with a focus on utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems.
The Manager, Procurement and Logistics will report directly to the Director, Procurement working closely with Copia’s asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams in an individual contributor capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Reporting to the Director of Procurement, overall responsibility to support EPC team with procurement and logistics related functions, ensuring broad collaborative communication is consistent to all necessary stakeholders.
· Actively coordinate and report on procured material from supplier to site, including coordinating / facilitating necessary insurance information, delivery coordination, warehousing, etc.
· Become the primary Copia personnel responsible for inventory management and relationship/management of logistic providers (warehousing, transportation, etc.)
· Maintain a centralized repository of executed contracts and related documentation
· Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions including deliveries, invoices, purchase orders, lien waivers
· Develop internal tracking of BOLs and working with Copia Data team to maintain and publish state of inventory: research inventory management systems
· Support negotiations for relevant purchase orders, logistics agreements and change orders
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the applicable purchase and supply agreement lifecycle to ensure various goals and schedules are achieved
· Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to track actual spend against contract budgets
· Provide support to vendor RFP processes, including supporting the development of EPC data room, proposal review and comparison, selection, and contract negotiation, with assistance from Project Management and Engineering teams
· Support forecasting and budgeting efforts by providing contract spend insights
· Escalate non-compliance issues and support resolution efforts
· Clearly and concisely communicate plans with senior leadership
· Work with Asset Management team to optimize inventory across spares and in conjunction with 3rd Party O&M service providers
· Ability to travel and be on-site in warehouse or laydown yards during critical times such as load in/load out, quarantining of damaged equipment, etc.
· Work closely with Risk and Insurance for insurance placement and management of any claims
· Work with Legal to understand sales tax rules and regulations especially as it relates to location of title transfer, storage, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
· 3-5 years’ experience logistics, procurement and sourcing in support of utility scale photovoltaic and battery storage components including, but not limited to, modules, inverters, transformers, racking, logistics, and batteries
· BA/BS degree required with concentration in supply chain management, construction management, business, finance, economics, engineering, and/or other quantitative/environmental fields
· Certification in contract management (e.g., IACCM, NCMA) is desirable
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office
· Experience with project management software
· Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, UT office a minimum of 3 days per week.
· Ability to travel up to 25%-30%
