Responsibilities:

    • The Payroll Manager is responsible for the bi-weekly and quarterly payroll processing operations including assisting in driving the strategic payroll processes to deliver value-added services to employees  
    • Working with the VP Finance, the Payroll Manager will be leading the transformation of the current payroll process to meet the rapidly growing organizational needs including the new and upcoming HRIS system 
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of CORE's payroll in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and legislative compliance requirements  
    • Collaborate with the accounting GL side of the finance department, GPC and field operations to effectively research reconciling items and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete including internal/external and outside agencies (Federal, State, Local)  
    • Also ensure that CORE’s payroll processes/procedures are administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations  

    • Takes the lead in planning, developing and implementing forward looking payroll processes/procedures and revises current processes/procedures to continuously seek improvement, improve accuracy and create optimal efficiency 
    •  
    • The Payroll Manager will ensure all systems and internal controls adequately support the full-cycle payroll processes, employment taxes, applicable labor laws and compliance with wage and hour laws and state and federal regulations  
    • Assist in identifying, evaluating and recommending information technology solutions to meet strategic organizational objectives  
    • Process annual payroll tax reconciliation and compliance with filing returns and issuing W-2’s before Jan 31st 
    • Maintain confidentiality of any payroll private employee information and ensures payroll information is secure  
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all relevant federal state and local tax reporting and deductions  
    • Act as primary contact for internal state and federal Payroll audits

Experience

    • Non-Profit Accounting Experience  
    • Bachelors Degree (Accounting, Finance) 
    • 5+ years payroll experience 

Skills and Competencies:

    • Payroll experience 5+ years of full cycle payroll  
    • Paychex, UKG systems 
    • Extreme attention to detail 
    • Payroll certification nice to have (CPP, FPC, CPM or PCP) 
$90,200 - $115,000 a year
In accordance with law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
