The Accounting Manager manages the general ledger and assists with AR, AP, Revenue review and general accounting.   
This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

    • General ledger management. Maintaining and managing the General Ledger & chart of accounts 
    • Performs allocations at month end (leave, fringe, overhead) 
    • Reviews daily contributions and receivables transactions 
    • Clears daily banking activities into the General Ledger 
    • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and reconciling transactions. 
    • Reviews expense reimbursements and credit card transactions for general ledger posting 
    • Prepares payroll journal semi-monthly for upload into Sage Intacct 
    • Reconciles voluntary deductions and works closely with the benefits dept 
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and GL reconciliations 
    • Reconciles month end balance sheet reconciliations 
    • Records and maintains fixed assets and equipment, including additions and deletions 
    • May serve as a backup for Accounts Payable team 
    • Assists with monthly BvA financial statements and analysis 
    • Assists with annual audit, tax returns and other regulatory filing requirements 
    • Assists with grant reporting and funding, cost center creation 
    • Additional responsibilities and duties as necessary or as requested by the Controller and/or VP Finance

Qualifications:

    • BS degree in Accounting or extensive experience in lieu of 
    • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

Experience:

    • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, private/public, non-profit preferred.  
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. 
    • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct a plus. 
    • Computer proficiency in Google applications, SharePoint, Excel and Word. 

Skills and Competencies:

    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables 
    • Strong follow up skills and ability to manage projects with limited supervision. 
    • Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written. 
    • Accuracy, attention to detail and special attention to deadlines. 
    • Self-motivated, can work independently and must be a team player. 
    • A positive attitude and willingness to support CORE’s mission and efforts as needed. 
    • Flexible and willingness to modify schedule to work overtime hours if needed.

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
