This is a grant funded position. Working under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator provides programmatic and administrative support to help achieve the goals and objectives of the Listos California Statewide Program. The position ends on 12/31/2025, with the possibility of extending based on performance and future funding.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and maintains applicable program schedules and agendas; which may include tracking deadlines, deliverables, communication with management and/or stakeholders.
- Interfaces with other departments, staff, leaders and/or other partners in the administration of the program. Provide coordination of applicable logistics or information.
- Organizes and coordinates the development of all featured events, outreach activities, meetings and materials/collateral, in the promotion and administration of the Listos California Statewide Program. May actively represent the program and/or the organization.
- Helps foster a collaborative and positive relationship building dynamic with internal staff and external parties.
- Interface with other departments, vendors and applicable community parties as needed.
- Collaborate with and train subgrantees in emergency preparedness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Scope and Travel:
- Reports to Disaster Preparedness Program Manager
- Oversees AmeriCorps CERC fellows training and field work.
- May need to travel to support emergency operations in the U.S.
- May travel to meet with Listos subgrantees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, emergency management, climate science or sustainability or at least two years of equivalent experience in relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in disaster preparedness, climate action/resilience, environmental health, sustainability or related field
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
$27 - $27 an hour
In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
