CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based response programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additional resources to disadvantaged communities and emerging hotspots around Georgia. This is accomplished through maintaining strategic partnerships with local health agencies and community-based organizations to reach high-risk populations in vulnerable areas.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Operations Coordinator to join our team. The Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the smooth functioning of our organization's operations and programs, with a priority focus on the Chronic Health Prevention and Health Promotion program. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams, internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Area Manager to provide administrative coordination and program design, development and implementation support to assigned projects.
    • Support the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and processes.
    • Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and other operational activities.
    • Maintains staff and program compliance with organizational policies and procedures 
    • Utilize necessary computer programs and technology to support operational requirements. 
    • Assist in the resolution of operational issues and challenges as they arise.
    • Conduct research and gather data to support operational decision-making.
    • Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.
    • Liaise and collaborate with internal departments
    • Represent CORE at local events throughout the community 
    • Foster new partnerships and alliances with other organizations and community leaders to further develop program growth, community outreach activities, as well as relationship building and maintenance 
    • Work with the internal area and state leadership to steer the CORE mission 
    • Other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification 

Scope and Travel:

    • No direct reports
    • Travel: 30% site visits, occasionally overnight

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, health sciences, social work, operations management or other related fields 
    • Possess a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in management, operations, and leadership, preferably in a public health or a related field 
    • Preferred: MCHES/CHES Certification
    • Preferred: EMT, LPN, CNA, RN certification

Experience:

    • Familiarity with public health entities and community-based organizations, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of their dynamics and operations. 
    • Demonstrated experience in working with diverse populations, showcasing adaptability, cultural competence, and the ability to collaborate across various backgrounds. 
    • At least five years of Community Health Worker experience

    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve operational goals
    • A mindset focused on continuous improvement involves constantly seeking ways to enhance operational processes and outcomes
    • Ability to foster consensus and cultivate strong relationships among partners and employees. 
$62,400 - $62,400 a year
In accordance with law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
