Working under the supervision of the Area Director, assisting with
administrative and operational duties, as well as data collection and
analysis. This position is responsible for supporting all programs
across California and is essential to the programs’ success. They will
perform administrative duties for programming on the Climate
Resilience/Disaster Preparedness and Public Health teams, as well as
support with data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities:

    • Support teams focused on reducing gaps in public health, emergency preparedness and mitigation, and other relevant fields
    • Schedule and coordinate staff meeting and other meetings
    • Organize and maintain department files, electronic and physical
    • Organize and coordinate supplies from our field operations teams
    • Assist in onboarding new programs staff
    • Serve as administrative liaison for California programs with finance, communication, logistics, and HR depts.
    • Maintain internal tracking system for all programs’ tech and facilitate the approval of invoices
    • Help prepare reports and grants applications
    • Assist in making budget modifications and reviewing financial reports
    • Attend programs’ weekly meetings, bi-weekly leadership meetings
    • Serve as Regional Social Media Ambassador and attend monthly social media meetings, and serve as the liaison for California Program with Marketing & Communications
    • Implement social media platforms’ content strategies to build community online
    • Identify and interpret social media trends
    • Assist in design, planning and coordinating social media posts for all programs
    • Serve as Regional Ambassador for CVA Community of Practice
    • Provide administrative support to programs staff as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

    • Essential: High School degree or GED
    • Desired: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics,
    • Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or
    • Business Administration, or related field.
    • Must have reliable transportation.

Experience:

    • Entry level position with commensurate working experience

    • Proficient in MS Office applications (including MS Word,
    • Excel, and SharePoint)

    • Co-manage social media platforms
    • Bilingual in Spanish or another language preferable
$26 - $26 an hour
In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
