CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based response programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additional resources to disadvantaged communities and emerging hotspots around Georgia. This is accomplished through maintaining strategic partnerships with local health agencies and community-based organizations to reach high-risk populations in vulnerable areas.   

CORE is actively seeking an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of CORE Georgia’s warehousing and inventory systems. This role reports to the Georgia Area Director. The responsibilities for this role encompass the management and execution of Warehousing Standards and Procedures, which involves the utilization of associated tools such as adhering to reporting requirements, overseeing inventory management systems, optimizing warehouse layout, and handling the reception and distribution of goods and materials. 

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.   

Strategically optimize warehouse layout and space utilization, including shelving, racking, and binning systems, while ensuring accessibility and safety standards are met.  
 
Track, control, and meticulously organize inventory levels to ensure accuracy.   

Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and take corrective actions when discrepancies arise. 
  
Promptly address and resolve any inventory-related issues or complaints.   

Schedule and coordinate inventory transportation to operational sites.   

Collaborate with other departments, such as IT, Programs and National Logistics, to meet specific requirements for order fulfillment. 
  
Hire, train and supervise personnel, include a logistics associate and warehouse personnel.    

Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor team performance of direct reports.

Enforce comprehensive safety policies and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a secure working environment.  

Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.    

Provide logistical support and coordination for emergency response operations, ensuring timely deployment of resources and supplies to disaster-affected areas. 

Warehouse Safety: Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conducting regular safety inspections, providing training to warehouse staff on safe operating practices, and addressing any potential hazards or incidents promptly. 

 Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as health and safety standards, labor laws, and industry-specific requirements. Staying updated on regulatory changes and implementing necessary measures to maintain compliance. 
Work closely with CORE’s Global Logistics Managers to implement CORE’s warehouse management systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, supply chain management, logistics or related field. 
 
Language: Proficiency in English is necessary.

Skills & Competencies:
Ability to make quick decisions in emergencies or when rapid response is needed. 
Required to have a valid/unexpired driver’s license and ability to drive CORE’s vehicles for work purposes.   
At least 25 years old, or have a valid driver’s license for 5 years 
Available Full-Time, 40 hours a week 
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff 
Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds of inventory materials 
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills 
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
Strong multi-tasking project management ability 
Able to manage time effectively 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Experience: 
At least 2 years of experience in Warehouse/Inventory Management or related field   
At least 1 year of Supervisory Experience required  
Experience creating warehousing and inventory plans and SOPs.
