The Digital Director is responsible for leading digital strategy and execution for the campaign, including managing the teams working on online fundraising, digital organizing, and advocacy and amplification work. This is a senior staff role.

Essential Functions and Percentage of Time.
Digital strategy development and execution (50%).
- Work with the senior staff team, the digital department, state leadership, and other stakeholders to develop effective and boundary-pushing strategies to meet campaign goals of community growth, fundraising, volunteer mobilization, message amplification, etc.
- Collaborate with candidate on how best to scale his long-standing personal digital presence to meet the needs of a national campaign.

Management and excellence assurance (50%)
- Provide strong leadership for teams within the digital department responsible for different campaign goals, including fundraising, organizing, and message amplification
- Raise the bar for performance to ensure high-quality, effective work across platforms and goals
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure highest value service for the campaign
- Advocate for digital and technology solutions as part of the campaign’s overall strategy

Competencies.
Experienced digital leader. 5-10 years experience working in digital strategy in political campaigns or another relevant field and experience managing a department budget;
Well-rounded campaign hand. Strong understanding of the core functions of a campaign -- fundraising, organizing, and message dissemination -- with a relish for using technology and the internet to power each of them;
Manager. Experience managing staff and providing constructive feedback that helps direct reports advance abilities and develop new skills;
Project management. Highly organized, strict attention to detail, efficient, and able to prioritize your work and the work of others; and
Ability to work under deadline pressure; and ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends.

Position Type and Classification. Full-time, Exempt.

Travel. This position requires occasional travel.

Reports To Deputy Campaign Manager

Compensation and Benefits. Full-time, competitive salary including benefits such as 100%-employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for all staff, spouses/domestic partners, and their children; employer-paid premiums for life insurance for all staff; 20 accrued paid days off each year; 12 weeks of paid parental leave, and 12 days accrued paid sick leave.
