The Impact of Finance Business Analyst at Coupa:
This role will strengthen Coupa’s Commercial Finance function by delivering accurate, automated reporting, forecasting, and KPI dashboards that enhance decision-making and revenue visibility. The position will also build scalable data infrastructure and translate financial insights into actionable strategies, driving efficiency, cross-functional alignment, and long-term growth.
What You'll Do:
- Support Commercial Finance team and the Chief Accounting Office with reporting and analytics across various operational facets.
- Maintain and support the improvement of the Commercial Finance team’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
- Develop Business Intelligence (BI) schemas to enable data-driven financial analysis.
- Apply strong business acumen and communication skills to effectively synthesize information and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Utilize advanced financial analysis capabilities to interpret, synthesize, and enhance business requirements.
- Import and export large datasets from various systems and sources, including architecting data feeds, developing data validation schemas, and implementing process controls.
- Analyze trends, develop forecasts, and recommend actions for optimization.
- Increase productivity through the development of automated reporting and forecasting tools.
What You'll Bring to Coupa:
- 3–5 years’ experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Reporting, and Planning, ideally in SaaS or subscription-based services.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics, revenue reporting, business models, and financial/consulting functions; SQL proficiency required.
- Expert-level Excel skills with advanced formulas/functions and strong documentation practices.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Heroku, Sigma, Data Studio) and Snowflake.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and work with incomplete or ambiguous data.
- Background in analyzing SaaS/MSP metrics, gathering BI requirements, and delivering actionable insights.
- Preferred exposure to Salesforce, OneStream, and NetSuite, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
