The impact of Senior Revenue Accountant at Coupa:
As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Coupa, you’ll play a key role in managing end-to-end revenue processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. You’ll review complex sales arrangements, assist with multi-element allocations, support month-end close, and contribute to audits, SOX compliance, and M&A integration. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities will directly support Coupa’s financial accuracy and operational scalability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do:
- Maintains customer records and manages sales orders in NetSuite, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies.
- Reviews sales arrangements and contract terms; assists with revenue allocation for multi-element arrangements.
- Generates customer invoices and credit memos; investigates and resolves billing adjustments and inquiries.
- Performs revenue-related month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and revenue/deferred revenue analysis.
- Supports M&A activities related to revenue, including integration efforts and documentation.
- Assists with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including documentation, testing, and supporting year-end audits.
What You'll Bring To Coupa:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of software revenue accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and solid understanding of financial statements.
- Proficient in account reconciliation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking with the ability to quickly learn new tasks.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-driven approach to completing projects with minimal supervision.
- Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with NetSuite and Salesforce (SFDC) preferred.
The estimated pay range for this role is: 75,225 - 121,500
The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
