The Consultant, Content Management is a key person in the Coupa Catalog Management team. The Consultant is responsible for providing oversight, taking the lead in guiding client configurations to support the management, maintenance and creation of catalogs and forms within the Coupa platform. The Consultant is an ambassador for the Coupa Content Management (CCM) team.

CCM is an outsourced business process service for customers of Coupa’s Procurement solution. The focus is the upkeep of content within Coupa Procurement via creation and maintenance of supplier catalogs and forms that generate purchasing requisitions. The Consultant is responsible for assisting clients and colleagues in the deployment of processes for content management, including the preparation, distribution and implementation of electronic Supplier catalogs and forms. The Consultant works autonomously and collaboratively within the Coupa Content Management (CCM) team, leverages experience in managing suppliers, defines the tools and processes for content management and takes ownership of customer projects.
 
People in this role often have eCommerce or product catalog skills that they’ve developed from work at a supplier (B2B eCommerce company). They’ve managed content in eCommerce platforms – products, pricing, descriptions, attachments, tags, etc. for web shops – so they intimately know the data that we deal with every day. All supplier interactions are with companies that have product catalogs or forms.

Skills, Competencies and Experience:

    • More than 5 years of experience in the IT Project Management, industry, and administration of a catalog management operation, demonstrating expert knowledge of catalog and procurement processes or similar
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or better (or equivalent experience)
    • Act as the primary point of contact for Content Management customers, regularly communicating success metrics and updates on the most complex initiatives
    • Customer and supplier interaction and support for complex content topics, including the ability to manage expectations across executive, management and working levels
    • Documentation of best practices and in regularly scheduled webinars for customers and clients
    • Capable and willing to develop processes to streamline the content management process
    • Collecting, interpreting, and pre-processing data: Gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from various sources
    • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, while planning, organizing, and managing IT projects from initiation to completion
    • Developing and documenting project and transition plans, including timelines, tasks, resource allocation, process workflows, and training materials
    • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
    • Ensuring that projects are delivered according to quality standards and within scope, conducting project evaluations, reporting on project outcomes, and creating comprehensive reports that communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
    • Collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams: Working closely with other Coupa departments, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions

Skills and Qualifications:

    • Demonstration of the Coupa Core Values in every aspect of their work with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
    • Knowledge of the Coupa Core Platform, especially catalog management or other eCommerce platforms that handle content management (including products, pricing, descriptions, attachments, tags, etc.)  
    • Able to consult with executive customer personnel, demonstrate knowledge and experience and become a trusted advisor.
    • Dedicated, methodical, team-oriented, and customer-oriented individual
    • Advanced time management and organizational skills
    • Able to handle concurrent projects along with customer escalations
    • Proven experience in managing IT projects, preferably in a similar industry or domain
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
    • Ability to effectively manage project resources and prioritize tasks
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and software development processes
    • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive insights
    • Data visualisation: Skill in presenting data visually to effectively communicate findings
    • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, derive insights, and make informed decisions to solve business problems
    • Communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate findings, insights, and project updates to the team, as well as stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
    • Domain expertise: Demonstrated understanding of the industry or domain relevant to the project being managed, enabling effective interpretation and application of data insights within that specific context
    • Dedicated, team-oriented individual and customer oriented
    • Leadership, especially in a technical context
    • Spanish Language – Fluent

Nice to have:

    • Experience with other procurement platforms and ERPs
    • European languages such as French or Portuguese
    • Project management certifications (such as PMP or PRINCE2)
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

• Based in California: $73,525 - 86,500

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
