Responsibilities:

    • Mentor QE members and help drive improvements and efficiencies within Field QE and the Coupa organization overall
    • Define test objectives, create test plans, develop strategy, and write and execute manual test cases
    • Direct test planning and scheduling
    • Generate and analyze reports to provide metrics to Customer Adoption Director and upper management.
    • Manage priorities when assigned to multiple testing instances
    • Establish guidelines for testing
    • Be aware of defects and status for transparency
    • Assertively escalate issues to management
    • Stay current on evolving QA industry processes and standards
    • Partner with Operations, Advanced Support, Project Managers, and Development Resources

Requirements:

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience as SDET / Sr.SDET
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Lead Software Engineer in Test
    • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures and object oriented techniques
    • Proven track record of mentoring & building strong technical teams
    • Strong experience in writing test frameworks and automation tools is highly preferable
    • Strong experience in Web UI and API test automation
    • Hands on in writing code in any of languages like Java, Python, Ruby etc.
    • Test and Behaviour Driven Development (TDD and BDD), Cucumber framework, Selenium, Capybara, Appium, Calabash
    • Experience in design patterns such as Page Object Model
    • Proven written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions
    • Superior problem solving/troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

    • Build systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, Ant
    • Testing experience in Cloud Applications and Platforms
    • Diverse technology experience (across databases, operating environments, application platforms, delivery models, etc.)
    • Experience in databases, particularly MySql
    • Experience working in a project team environment and ability to influence the quality of the product in that environment
    • Exposure to multiple software development methodologies
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
•Based in California: $143,000-$177,000

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
