The Impact of a Senior Salesforce Architect at Coupa:

The Senior Salesforce Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and drive operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, developing technical solutions, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Salesforce technologies.

What You'll Do:

    • Lead-to-Cash Transformation: Be the primary architect driving the strategy, design, and implementation of Salesforce solutions across the entire Lead-to-Cash process, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Billing, and integration with ERP/Finance systems.
    • Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of robust, scalable, and secure Salesforce solutions, including data models, integration strategies, security models, and technical architectures that align with business requirements and best practices.
    • Requirements Analysis & Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations) to deeply understand their processes, pain points, and strategic objectives. Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications and user stories.
    • Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and release management processes. Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship.
    • Platform Governance & Best Practices: Define and enforce Salesforce platform governance, standards, and best practices. Identify opportunities for platform optimization, performance tuning, and technical debt reduction.
    • Integration Strategy: Design and oversee the integration of Salesforce with other critical business systems (e.g., ERP, Data Warehouses, Marketing Automation platforms, external applications) using appropriate integration patterns and technologies (e.g., APIs, Middleware).
    • Roadmap & Strategy: Contribute to the long-term Salesforce platform roadmap, evaluating new Salesforce features, AppExchange products, and industry trends to recommend strategic investments and improvements.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

    • 10+ years of overall experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture, with at least 7+ years dedicated to Salesforce architecture and implementation.
    • Proven experience driving Lead-to-Cash (L2C) transformations on the Salesforce platform, demonstrating deep expertise across the entire L2C journey (e.g., Marketing Cloud/Pardot, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Billing, Experience Cloud).
    • Deep expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ (highly preferred). Experience with Salesforce Billing, Revenue Cloud, or other billing systems is a significant plus.
    • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, Process Builder, and declarative tools.
    • Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies (e.g., REST API, SOAP API, MuleSoft, Workato, middleware solutions).
    • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data migration strategies for large-scale Salesforce implementations.
