About the role
As an Accounts Payable (“AP”) Associate at Cover Genius, you will be working amongst a rapidly expanding Global Financial Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director, Global Accounts Payable. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team in the Netherlands. This role will focus on managing the Employee Travel & Expense (T&E) function while supporting the broader day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of expense reports, compliance with company policies and regulations, and efficient handling of vendor invoices and payments. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of financial processes, the ability to work across multiple time zones to support our global teams, and wants to be part of a global insurtech company with the vision to protect all customers of the world’s largest digital companies.
What will your day look like? You will...
- Travel & Expense (T&E) Management:
- Process and review employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure timely reimbursement of employee expenses and address any discrepancies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on T&E policies, expense submission, and compliance.
- Conduct periodic audits of expense reports to identify and mitigate fraudulent or non-compliant claims.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize T&E processes and system improvements.
- Accounts Payable Operations:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payment runs.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Support weekly payment processing, ensuring compliance with payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements.
What you will bring;
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, or related financial roles.
- A diploma in accounting or finance is highly preferred.
- Experience working with NetSuite and Coupa preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, general accounting practices, and financial controls.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage vendor and internal relationships effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $100,000 depending on experience and location.
