About the role
Reporting to the Director of Finance in EMEA, the Accounting Manager-Costs will lead and coordinate the Group’s global expense processes and all related reconciliations. You will play a key role in the business and will have responsibility for providing guidance on new cost streams.
What will your day look like? You will...
- Lead the full in relation to costs and expenditure, including Accounts Payable, credit cards, T&E
- Lead the initiative to ensure all bills are paid on time and accurately, and ensure accounts payable agings are complete and accurate
- Lead and review payables reconciliations across Cover Genius’ multiple entities globally
- Take ownership of related software (Coupa, Ramp, Navan)
- Primary support for external audits/reviews within regions and work with Global Controller to prepare for audits
- Partner with Global Tax Director to ensure pass-through taxes, such as VAT, GST, US Sales Tax, are reflected correctly
- Partner with the Global Treasury and FP&A Teams in providing support for cash outflows, eg support on cashflow forecasting
- Ensure accuracy & adequacy of business' cost reporting processes by drafting, revising and evaluating relevant internal policies and procedures
- Serve as subject matter expert in all matters related to accounting for outgoings
- Support in planning and project work, key projects
- Recommending and driving improvement to processes, systems, and control frameworks.
To help us level up, you'll ideally have:
- Big 4 or mid-tier trained, with further commercial experience
- Familiarity with revenue accounting across multiple jurisdictions, preferably working with highly complex revenue models
- At least 10 years' experience in finance, with a focus on expense and cost oversight
- NetSuite experience with payments
- A proven people leader who can also operate independently with experience in delivering projects end-to-end
- Strong stakeholder business partnering capability
- Must be proactive and be able to work well independently and partner with Revenue, reporting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury Teams
- Team building and team leadership
- Must show initiative and be able to operate on their own
- Insurance/Financial Services experience a bonus but not a requirement
- Open to travel
