The Atlassian Platform Engineer / Developer role is more than just a member of the team that is responsible for the management of the Atlassian toolset, they are responsible for injecting a “human first, customer centric” mindset into everything we do end-to-end. While primarily focused on Jira and
Confluence, this role is heavily influenced by the customer success methodology, AWS technologies, Agile principles, and basic technology project management.
The Developer Collaboration Team partners with internal stakeholders across business units and functional groups globally to drive strategic engineering and collaboration initiatives that deliver end-user outcomes, while creating and maintaining an outstanding customer experience at scale. This means dissecting and translating user business needs and requirements, prioritizing efforts into a product map that is aligned with outcomes, success criteria, and measurement. To put it, Platform Engineer / Developers are the "Creators, Facilitators, & Moderators of End User Experience" and are key to creating an environment of transparency, rigor, collaboration, value, and speed in the design and implementation of the changes we are driving as a firm.
As part of the developer collaboration team, the individual will work with product management, engineering, and other pillars across the firm to ensure users are getting the most out of the Atlassian product suite.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience as an Atlassian (mainly JIRA & Confluence) Engineer / Developer.
- Develop custom integrations and interfaces between external tooling and Jira/Confluence infrastructure as needed.
- Intermediate programming skills with experience in Groovy/Python. Strong SQL and JQL experience.
- Responsible for maintaining Atlassian infrastructure and yearly platform upgrades.
- Understanding the software development lifecycle principles and knowledge of Agile principles and frameworks.
- Identify use cases for business and process automation, and help automate processes to save time and effort and improve efficiency.
- Manage and maintain configuration efforts across the tool sets and implementation of various plugins and integrations, such as Advanced Roadmaps, Automation for JIRA, JMWE, EazyBI, Zephyr, Gitlab, and other integrations.
- Practical experience with AWS technologies to support solution delivery, system integrations, and customer success outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving and process implementation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service communication skills.
- A detail-oriented project, motivated, independent, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working in the financial industry is a plus.
