DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for a Production Manager to join the team on Night Shift. The Night Shift Production Manager for DIS-TRAN Steel organizes and controls production in the organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the DIS-TRAN standard in a safe environment. This position will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring all the processes and procedures are followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that production staff is following the general company polices of Crest Industries, LLC.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Works with the Product Family Manager to determine specific needs for overtime.
- Sets limits and manages overtime hours of all production employees and staff.
- Plans a production schedule for all projects.
- Determines the material resources required.
- Manages the employment and material resources to meet production goals.
- Sets quality product standards.
- Establishes a routine program for consumable replacements.
- Makes recommendations for salary budgets to Product Family Manager based on staff suggestions and known guidelines established by management.
- Estimates production costs.
- Implements cost control programs.
- Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct issues.
- Determines staffing needs based on planned tasks and gains approval for this staff from management.
- Processes terminations in accordance with company policy, receives assistance from Human Resources.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Manager will have more than fifteen employees reporting to this position.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MANAGER:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- At least three to five years of supervisory production experience required .
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills required.
- Regular, reliable attendance is required.
