Optimal Field Services, a Crest Industries company, is looking to add an experienced Purchasing Agent to our team. The purchasing agent for Optimal Field Services will be responsible for maintaining a relationship between the company and its selected vendors that allows for the efficient and productive supply of material resources to the organization. The purchasing agent will also be responsible for developing new relationships with vendors who provide on time deliveries, competitive/negotiated pricing, and overall positive customer service experience.  The purchasing agent uses independent judgment with matters of significance and is responsible for ensuring that all purchase orders are complete, accurate and are submitted in a timely manner.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·       Complete bid forms.
·       Maintaining purchasing orders via distribution, communication, and tracking.
·       Communicate with vendors.
·       Develop relationships with new vendors who provide competitive pricing.
·       Complete vendor comparisons to ensure competitive pricing is being selected and adding value.
·       Material sourcing and procurement.
·       Purchase order data entry into the company’s operating software.
·       Ensures that minutes are captured and properly disseminated for each regular and special vendor meeting that contains topics which potentially impact the company’s procurement process.
·       Arrange with job site and vendors the return of materials as needed and following through to make sure credit is received from vendors.
·       Works effectively as a member of a team that develops and maintains business unit work relationships.
 
REQUIREMENTS FOR Purchasing Agent:
·       High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
·       Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred.
·       Minimum 2+ Experience in Turn-Around and/or Construction Environments
