Avant Organics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Account Manager to lead our efforts in driving business growth, customer satisfaction, and market expansion. Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Operations will play a pivotal role in defining and executing our business market strategy, enhancing client relationships, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of our innovative products.

This position will primarily work in New York and New Jersey. Other travel may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute the business market strategy, leveraging Avant Organics' technology and innovation to drive new opportunities and provide high-level service to our customers.
    •  Manage supplier-customer relationships through a robust network, acting as a problem solver for commercial issues and serving as a strategic business partner.
    •  Identify, anticipate, and address the needs of selected accounts for new and existing products by analyzing market trends, assessing cost-benefit scenarios, and enhancing brand integrity.
    •  Build and maintain a deep understanding of the industry landscape, with a focus on the flavor market and related products, to target sales and growth opportunities while effectively managing customer expectations.
    •  Develop and leverage a strong working understanding of each customer’s strategy, organization, menu and decision-making process to implement and expand win-win customer solutions that drive profitable growth.
    • Identify and evaluate new market or product opportunities by understanding customer needs, technical requirements, and operational considerations.
    •  Manage and cultivate relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat business.
    • Work closely with the VP of Commercial Operations to provide monthly and annual budget forecasts.
    •  Provide strategic leadership in defining the commercial path to growth and profitability, including the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure.
    • Foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the team and maintain a passion for research and development in new markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

    • 1 – 3 years of experience in sales or technical roles is preferred, demonstrating strong business acumen, commercial leadership, and a track record of success.
    •  Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling you to cultivate strong and enduring connections with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted partner.
    •  A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology is desirable. A background in food science or technical sales is highly beneficial.
