DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead maintenance operations at our steel manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, and driving technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and a proven ability to optimize equipment reliability while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and executes comprehensive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Establishes and oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all critical machinery and infrastructure.
- Implements a company-wide TPM program to improve equipment effectiveness and encourage employee ownership of maintenance.
- Ensures rapid response to equipment failures and maintains an optimized spare parts inventory to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Leads, mentors, and trains maintenance teams, including supervisors and technicians, to maintain high performance.
- Ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Drives the adoption of automation technologies and advanced manufacturing systems to enhance productivity.
- Utilizes CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other technology tools to track maintenance activities and analyze performance.
- Leads Industry 4.0 initiatives, such as IoT, AI, and predictive analytics, to advance smart manufacturing practices.
- Collaborates with production teams to align maintenance schedules with operational needs and minimize disruptions.
- Manages relationships with vendors and service providers to secure favorable contracts and ensure quality service.
- Develops and manages the maintenance department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Identifies opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency, and waste reduction to enhance operational performance.
- Establishes and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance efficiency, equipment uptime, and cost control.
- Prepares and presents maintenance reports to senior management on performance metrics and process improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, including Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Planned Maintenance.
- Experience with CMMS software and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive organizational change, and improve maintenance processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations.
