DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team at our Pineville, LA location.
The Maintenance Planner utilizes the EPICOR maintenance management system to plan and schedule work for maintenance and contractor crews, conduct job walks, develop scopes of work, including labor and material estimates, and collaborate with Procurement/Stockroom for job planning, requisition submission, and inventory monitoring.
The Maintenance Planner will expedite parts as needed, assist with kitting, manage preventative maintenance orders, develop weekly schedules with Production input, update equipment databases and Bill of Materials, and close maintenance orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and schedule work for maintenance and contractor crews using the EPICOR maintenance management system
- Conduct job walks when planning the maintenance orders
- Develop a scope of work for the jobs, including labor and material estimates, special tools or equipment
- Assist in developing a Maintenance Plan library in EPICOR
- Work closely with Procurement/Stockroom when planning jobs
- Submit purchase requisitions for materials and services
- Monitor inventory to determine when all material arrives for the jobs
- Work with Procurement to expedite parts as needed
- Assist the Stockroom with Kitting when jobs are scheduled
- Develop a weekly schedule with Production input
- Update the equipment database in EPICOR as needed
- Update the Bill of Materials for the equipment
- Update job status in EPICOR as needed
- Close maintenance orders as required
REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENACE PLANNER:
- 5 years plus of maintenance craftsman experience in a production or industrial plant
- Ability to plan jobs in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to learn how to use Epicor Maintenance Planning and Scheduling software
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical drive systems, production welding equipment, and forklifts
- Good organizational skills
- Able to interact well and coordinate with others
