Crgo is seeking a highly experienced leader and effective communicator to be their Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the development and execution of their technical programs. This position is for an individual that is passionate about aerospace technology development and has a track record of delivering programs on time and within budget. The person in this position will work closely with Crgo leadership, chief engineers, aerospace engineers, and external parties to deliver a product that meets the market demand.

Responsibilities

    • Development and management of all technical program schedules and budgets
    • Lead the execution and delivery of multiple technical programs
    • Help create an environment of productivity, creativity, and autonomy so that the technical team can work efficiently and fruitfully on the most important tasks by using best practices in program management
    • Grow the program management function and team at Crgo 
    • Develop, operationalize and track agreements and engagements with external partners, contractors, and vendors and manage these relationships for success
    • Coordinate communications and operations between internal and external technical teams to maximize collaboration, and productivity of all contributors 
    • Proactively and creatively approach problems, enabling the team to solve them efficiently
    • Embody a proactive and optimistic approach, bringing a can-do attitude to the workplace every day, fostering a positive and dynamic work environment
    • Travel up to 25% of the time

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or advanced degrees in an engineering or related field
    • 8+ years of program management experience in the aerospace or automotive industry 
    • Experience in the development and delivery of a complex hardware and software system in a similar role
    • Experience developing an R&D plan for multiple complex technical projects
    • Experience in the aviation, automotive, or robotics industry
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical individuals
    • Extremely detail oriented and highly organized
    • Excels at collaborating in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities, technical requirements, and a growing team
    • Must be eligible to work in the US 

Great to have Qualifications and Skills

    • 5+ years in leadership roles with personnel management responsibilities
    • Experience successfully launching high-performance hardware products in a technical program management or project management function
    • Demonstrated skill in aligning priorities, coordinating timelines, and leading complex scope, resource, and schedule trades 
    • Experience managing complex engineering projects from early stages to delivery
    • Experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence
    • Excellent partner and contractor management skills
    • You are a strategic thinker, who passionately seeks datapoints and has the ability to piece together information to confidently propose a plan 
    • You are a self-motivated and hard-working individual who eagerly takes initiative when opportunities are presented
    • Knowledgeable about the trade-offs of different program management styles

Work Location

    • Our company’s headquarters are currently located in Burlington, MA and is planning to move to Waltham, MA in 2024. This position is primarily on-site.
