In this role, you'll collaborate with financial services companies, demonstrating your expertise in providing transformative solutions. What You'll Do:
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations and reconciliations for investment funds, ensuring accuracy across complex structures, asset classes, and fair market valuations.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger activity, and preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and cash flow reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Analyze portfolio activity, income allocations, expense accruals, and fund performance to support timely financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including audits and regulatory filings.
- Process fund transactions (trade processing, fee payments, cash reconciliations) and collaborate with investment managers, custodians, and administrators to resolve discrepancies while identifying opportunities to streamline fund accounting workflows.
- Partner with CFOs and finance leaders to identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, operational improvements, and enhanced efficiency across the finance function, including the monthly close process and ERP/cloud finance system enhancements.
- Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements, SEC disclosures, internal reporting packs, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings while ensuring compliance with new and existing accounting standards.
- Perform operational accounting activities such as reconciliations, roll-forwards, flux analysis, and remediation of process gaps to support continuous improvement within the finance and accounting functions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams to convey project findings, updates, and recommendations, collaborating to address business challenges with innovative solutions.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of experience advising financial services clients on fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational processes; OR 3+ years of direct experience within a fund’s finance function, supporting NAV calculations, period-end close, and investor reporting activities.
- Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm or management consulting firm).
- Hands-on experience with finance and fund accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, Investran, Geneva, SAP).
- Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CA certification preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $151,000 + annual bonus + additional benefits.
