The Business Development Director is a newly created position which will be responsible for identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities in a range of commercial industries.

Responsibilities:

    • Identify, qualify and participate in assigned business development opportunities that support company strategic objectives, primarily focused on commercial clients in a range of industries
    • Navigate sales cycle from start to finish, leveraging internal resources within the larger sales organization
    • Source and qualify opportunities not served by CrossCountry Consulting while also expanding and nurturing opportunities with existing client relationships
    • Create and execute the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position CrossCountry Consulting to secure business
    • Actively work existing relationships, networking contacts, professional affiliations, and industry groups
    • Support leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate
    • Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for the industry teams they support

Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of demonstrated success in selling consulting services, networking, and generating new business
    • Extensive knowledge of commercial client acquisition practices to support business development activities
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new accounts in addition to expanding current client accounts
    • Knowledge of the business development cycle, including the development, management and execution of sales and BD planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, and sales strategy
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently
    • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Creative, self-confident, and flexible
    • An entrepreneurial spirit
    • Great sense of humor required!
