The Business Development Director is a newly created position which will partner closely with New York leadership to make a visible impact. This role will be responsible for identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities by selling the company’s services to New York-based Financial Services firms.

What You'll Do:

    • Sourcing and qualifying opportunities with Financial Institutions
    • Expanding and developing opportunities with existing client relationships
    • Identifying and qualifying all opportunities during the sales process
    • Creating and executing the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position CrossCountry Consulting to secure business
    • Actively work existing relationships, networking contacts, professional affiliations, and industry groups
    • Support leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate
    • Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for the industry teams they support

Position Requirements:

    • Extensive professional network in the New York Financial Services market, focused on the Finance & Accounting functions at large Financial Institutions
    • 5+ years of demonstrated success in selling professional services, networking, and generating new business within the Financial Services industry
    • 10+ years of experience in the accounting and/or consulting industry
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new accounts in addition to expanding current client accounts
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently
    • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
    • Creative, self-confident, and flexible
    • An entrepreneurial spirit
    • Great sense of humor required! 

Desired Qualifications:

    • A consulting business development executive with a consistent and demonstrable track record of achieving annual revenue targets
    • Demonstrable background of developing and closing significant new name clients in his/her career, with expertise in the banking and capital markets sector

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $200,000 - $250,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
