CrossFit is looking to hire a Sr. Sport Operations Manager - New Initiatives to join our SPORT team. You will be responsible for creating new opportunities, elevating existing opportunities for competition athletes of all abilities. This includes managing the business plan and implementation model for Sport levels, licensed events, points, and rankings. This role will be a key member of the Sport Operations Team and will work closely with the Events, Competition, Tech, Marketing, and Content Teams.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
●      Create a global ecosystem to support growth of competition for athletes of all abilities.
●      Manage the business plan, financial forecasts, and budget for workout tracking, levels, points, and rankings.
●      Establish and define the competition and workout tracking pathways by Level for CrossFit owned/operated events and licensed events.
●      Lead, develop, and drive forward a comprehensive points and ranking system for Sport.
●      Ensure a positive athlete experience for non-Games Season competitions.
●      Lead, for the Sport Team, the identification of necessary product development to move licensed events, points, levels, and rankings forward (i.e., CrossFit's website, apps, and owned/operated channels). Collaborate with the Tech team on the implementation.
●      Establish processes for licensed events to integrate levels, points, and/or rankings into their events.
●      Support Sport collaborations with  internal/external stakeholders to develop new competition formats.
●      Collaborate with the Event Team to develop and maintain an Event Calendar
●      Serve as the point of contact for EDU and GYMS for Sport levels, points, and rankings.
●      Serve as an onsite event liaison for select events.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
 
●      Ability to effectively communicate complex strategies, data sets, and financial information to executives
●      Ability to evaluate complex issues and develop clear strategies using data.
●      Understanding of financial planning and accounting with the ability to create business and financial plans.
●      In-depth knowledge of the athlete experience in virtual, and in-person, event environments
●      Sport event planning, operations, and management leadership experience
●      Experience working with internal departments on overlapping project timelines
●      Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external partners
●      Proficiency in CRM systems
●      Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
●      Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
●    Bachelors degree (MBA or graduate business degree preferred)
● CrossFit Level-1 Certificate
● Minimum of five  years’ experience in CrossFit gyms, CrossFit Education, CrossFit Events (or closely related equivalent experience in the sport/entertainment industry).

Compensation: 95k-105k plus bonus
