The Vendor Relations Specialist is responsible for assisting the Manager of Vendor Relations in supporting required and optional Crumbl vendors, excluding Sysco, Crumbl Foods and some tech vendors. This specialist will be assigned specific vendors to engage with. This includes communicating updates, holding vendors accountable for their performance and providing support of these vendors to corporate team members, including Onboarding and Consultants. The creation of new vendors will be assigned as needed, and as Crumbl expands into international territories outside of the US.This specialist may also help test and maintain company equipment. They may also read and understand equipment manuals in order to stay up to date on maintenance procedures. They will work with the Manager of Vendor Relations to keep the operations manual in sync with Crumbl policies and procedures. Additionally, they will provide regular communication to Franchise Partners to assist with support and training as requested. 

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Primary point of contact with assigned vendors, which may include operational vendors, delivery, equipment, launderers and other vendors inside and outside of the US.
    • Maintains strong communication to Corporate. This includes providing updates to the Manager of Vendor Relations and other internal teams. Regular meetings, Slack updates and additional forms of communication may be required to keep all teams up to date with operational concerns. 
    • Support new vendor launches, including setting standards of vendor services. May also include supporting conversations about legal contracts and vendor pricing.
    • Provides updates of new launches by training corp team members about processes and policies. This may include creating communication, email templates and other tools used to engage with corp team members and Franchise Partners. 
    • Acts as a key liaison between vendors and other internal teams such as marketing, tech, PR, and others. This may include assessing bandwidth and needs of different teams and making executive decisions on what priority projects. 
    • Maintains Crumbl design standards when reviewing vendor offerings
    • Assists the vendor relations team with any other tasks as necessary.
    • May include travel periods to engage with vendors outside of the corporate location
    • May be required to communicate with vendors and Franchise Partners outside of regular business hours, depending on location of vendor
    • Analyze root causes of equipment or vendor support failures and propose corrective actions
    • Conduct research and assessments 
    • Stay up to date on equipment and vendors used in Crumbl stores
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
    • Explore new technologies and approaches and determine their applicability while keeping abreast of competitive products and industry advances
    • Perform preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure proper use 
    • Conduct training for stores 
    • Work closely with different partner-facing teams to meet the needs of tasks
    • Utilize and ensure that all proper documentation is done accurately. 
    • Work continuously on techniques/projects that will help improve the overall quality of the company
    • Assist in researching and acquiring new equipment and vendors when needed

Qualifications

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business related field
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
    • Excellent communication skills, customer service skills and high Emotional Intelligence. 
    • Highly organized and self-motivated and the ability to work independently
    • Demonstrated ability to create structure and prioritize work.
    • Ability to handle large workloads and tight deadlines
    • Ability to think critically to discover and solve complex problems.
    • Maintains a positive attitude and has the ability to handle change with professionalism and authenticity
    • Understanding of key subject matter in areas such as setting up, repairing, and maintaining kitchen equipment 
    • Possess and demonstrate understanding of commercial technical skills 
    • Advanced time management skills and ability to multi-task with different priorities and task levels
    • Strong technical skills (DropBox, Google Suite, Baking Equipment, etc.)
    • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptable communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
    • Strong attention to detail 
    • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and solve issues with equipment 
    • Excellent attention to detail to make sure all tasks are completed correctly
