The Crunchbase Marketing team plays a role in all parts of the user journey, from brand awareness through user retention. We are creative storytellers, always thinking about how we can better connect with our customers while driving value for the business.

As the Director of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for:

    • Building a vision for the digital marketing team that spans paid media, user acquisition, CRM marketing including email and in-product communications, demand generation, and lifecycle marketing for both our self serve and direct sales business
    • Carrying $xxM revenue and pipeline targets that have major impact on our business
    • Work closely with Director of Brand to procure necessary content to power digital activities and provide support with web strategy that bring brand content to life
    • Partner with PMM to ensure the latest target audience and key messages are accurately included in digital strategy
    • Work with Ops lead to ensure digital team approaches growth with an experimental and analytical mindset
    • Coach, challenge, and inspire a team of individual contributors, creating opportunities for them to grow their careers, and helping them achieve ambitious targets
    • Generating new ideas, channels, and campaigns that can unearth undiscovered pockets of financial opportunities across digital marketing levers
    • Designing full-funnel campaigns that create a seamless journey for prospects, from discovery through to renewal
    • Being a performance minded, analytics oriented leader who can objectively measure the impact of their team’s efforts on revenue
    • Bringing on elite agencies to support the output of the team, and manage them to flawless execution
    • Being a respectful partner who fosters open and honest relationships with other leaders in Product, Sales, and Business Development
    • Managing a budget for team headcount, ad spend, software, agencies, and T&E

Requirements:

    • You bring 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally in digital marketing for a self-serve company and 3+ years of management experience
    • You have strong knowledge of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and methodologies
    • You have experience with website analytics tools, advertising platforms, marketing automation tools, and content management systems
    • You have agency management experience
    • You have working knowledge of A/B testing
