Marketing Operations Manager

We are looking for a passionate and data-driven Marketing Operations Manager to be the eyes and ears of our metrics and data around campaigns, website traffic, email, conversion funnels, and content. They will be passionate about increasing the performance of everything we deliver and broadcast to our prospects and customers. The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for driving adoption of the Crunchbase platform and its suite of products, including Crunchbase Data, Crunchbase Pro, and future products. While the primary focus of this role will be marketing operations, this is an incredible opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines.


Marketing at Crunchbase
The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for both product and corporate marketing initiatives, including lead generation, creating exceptional content, and driving engagement with our community of users.
As Crunchbase's Marketing Operations Manager, you will:
•  Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management
•  Make data-driven projections about the quality of the sales and marketing pipeline, and spot efficiencies that will make the company work better as a whole
•  Drive product adoption and sales funnel performance improvements
•  Participate in cross-functional data cleanliness and governance initiatives
•  Build reports and dashboards that provide visibility into marketing campaign results, pipeline health, and marketing investment ROI
•  Evaluate new marketing technology and facilitate implementation as needed
•  Propose improvements to marketing and sales processes that drive speed and efficiency in systems
•  Work closely with demand generation and sales to meet revenue goals
•  Develop and optimize cross-channel lead scoring
•  Analyze multi-channel, multi-touch, and multi-product campaign performance
•  Create, manage, and track optimization projects using A/B testing programs
•  Tailor email and display campaigns based on demographics and behavior
•  Identify existing trends, and voice new opportunities for segmentation


Qualifications:
•  1-4 years successful marketing experience, with at least 1 year in marketing operations
•  Experience maintaining record quality within with Autopilot, Marketo, or similar marketing automation platforms
•  Experience with Salesforce or another enterprise CRM
•  Knowledge of reporting and analytics programs (i.e. Heap, Mixpanel, KISSmetrics)
•  Experience developing marketing funnel processes and sales funnel reporting
•  Experience managing outside technology and data vendors
•  Experience leading best practices on overall marketing processes
•  Experience coordinating workflows between marketing and operations teams
•  Strong understanding of audience segmentation and the impact of catering messages specifically to unique marketing personas
•  Experience with freemium business models, especially driving user engagement, user adoption, and revenue for a direct, online business model
•  Knowledge of SQL preferred, but not required
•  Self-motivated, action-oriented personality
•  Excellent communication skills -- speaking to internal executives and external vendors comes with ease
•  Incredibly coachable personality -- you are constantly looking for opportunities to improve your craft
•  Previous experience in a high-growth startup requiring you to wear multiple hats
•  B2C experience preferred, but not required
•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
