Crunchbase is the go-to destination to find businesses to sell to, market to, research, work for, invest in, and buy from. We’re aggressively capitalizing on this to become the single place to find information on the world’s businesses, and sales is a key component to our strategy.

We are building our sales team to quickly scale our customer base and identify new revenue opportunities within existing accounts. Our customers are diverse and range from two-person startups to the Fortune 500, but they all rely on Crunchbase for business-critical information delivered at the right time.  This is an incredible opportunity to join a well-known organization with an established sales funnel and book of business, yet shape the direction and success of the sales team.

Sales at Crunchbase
The Crunchbase Sales team is responsible for spreading adoption of our API and SaaS products - Crunchbase Enterprise, Crunchbase for Applications and Crunchbase Pro… and driving revenue growth, of course!
As a Crunchbase Account Executive, you will:
•  Qualify inbound leads to identify new sales opportunities within an established funnel of potential customers
•  Prospect into new accounts and grow the customer base from amongst our target account profiles
•  Identify upsell opportunities and leverage existing accounts to customize solutions for broader multi-team licenses
•  Work in partnership with Sales Development to facilitate a smooth hand-off from early qualification to close
•  Work in partnership with Customer Success to facilitate a smooth hand-off from close of sale to implementation of Crunchbase Data and all future products
•  Anticipate issues and identify opportunities to replicate and systematize solutions used for other customers in order to support effective scaling as the team and customer base grows
•  Establish long-term relationships with customers
•  Work closely with engineering and product to relay customer pain points and experiences
•  With the Head of Sales & Business Development, develop, track, and respond to the KPIs that drive success across the organization

You:
•  Are a versatile sales tactician capable of selling to customers of varying size and verticals
•  Have spent time selling in early-stage startups and thrive in environments with a wide scope and set of responsibilities, especially in the early stages
•  Naturally possess a high level of empathy and play close attention to the needs of customers
•  Have a high standard for excellence and feel a great sense of satisfaction when customers are successful
•  Are a clear and confident communicator -- comfortable speaking to executives at startups to the Fortune 500 and coordinating cross-functionally with internal teams and leadership
•  Are extremely coachable and constantly looking for opportunities to improve your craft
•  Are technically capable and can converse effectively with technical customers

Qualifications:
•  Approximately 3-4 years experience selling SaaS products to customers of varying size ranging from SMB to enterprise
•  Past experience working with internal executives and cross-functionally with other teams
•  Highly organized and detail-oriented
•  Working knowledge of Salesforce required
•  Prospecting experience required; experience in sales development a plus
