Strategic Partner Manager
You think you know Crunchbase, but what you don’t know is that we’re more than just a dataset of companies. Crunchbase is the go-to destination to find businesses to sell to, market to, research, work for, invest in, and buy from. We’re aggressively capitalizing on this to become the single place to find information on the world’s businesses, and partnerships are a key component to our strategy.

We are looking for an ambitious Strategic Partner Manager to enable and support a wide array of data partnerships on our platform. The ideal candidate will be an articulate, technically-savvy business leader with experience managing partnerships that enable large-scale technical integrations. You’ll be working hand-in-hand with C-level executives at our partner companies, and have the opportunity to shape the future of the Crunchbase platform, and ultimately, our business.

Business Development at Crunchbase
The Crunchbase Business Development team is responsible for developing product-enabling partnerships that expand both the breadth and the depth of our dataset. Through partnerships with companies like SimilarWeb and Glassdoor we are developing a brand new marketplace that will be the one-stop-shop for people to find and learn about companies they care about.
As Crunchbase's Strategic Partner Manager, you will:

• Report directly to the head of our Sales and Business Development teams, and manage day-to-day relationships with a diverse set of strategic partners
• Define our partner strategy and set the direction for how Crunchbase partnerships are managed
• Enable partner integrations that add new data and functionality to the Crunchbase platform
• Cultivate relationships and identify new opportunities to expand existing partnerships
• Design a replicable and scalable nurture program, and ensure a seamless transition between close of deal to partner support
•  Represent partners internally and externally to convey requirements, strengthen relationships, and work to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership
• Work cross-functionally with internal product and engineering teams to define product priorities and roadmap
• Liaise between partners and internal teams to ensure deliverables, milestones, and timeline execution
• Partner with legal to review, revise and amend contracts
• Ensure partners fulfill contractual obligations
• Partner with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies

• At least two years in a strategic partner management or business development role
• Proven track record of managing and scaling a wide variety of strategic partners with significant revenue impact
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and amending complex contracts
• Previous experience working directly with engineers and product managers
• Experience building partner marketplaces is preferred, but not required
• High level of emotional intelligence and comfort dealing with ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills -- speaking at executive level, both internally and externally, comes with ease
• MBA, JD or other Graduate degree preferred, but not required
