As the Crunchbase PR Manager, you will…

    • Own Product PR strategy and initiatives including securing coverage for product news, placing customer stories, and data trend pieces
    • Own and drive PR for corporate initiatives including brand, social impact, culture, employee and workplace highlights
    • Be a pro at media relations, garnering coverage around thought leadership, product offerings, business achievements, and company highlights
    • Lead our PR agency, working closely together to find opportunities to evangelize Crunchbase’s mission, vision, and products
    • Ensure Crunchbase is represented at strategic industry events by securing speaking opportunities and preparing our spokespeople by building talk tracks, speeches, and decks
    • Develop an awards calendar and apply for relevant and targeted industry awardsDrive the company’s executive thought leadership program in partnership with Dir. of Brand & MarComms
    • Be a trusted partner for our leadership and management team, advocating for the brand and owning the relationship with media, event organizers, and influencers
    • Run Crunchbase’s pressroom, ensuring content is up to date
    • Write and edit media alerts, press releases, and blog posts
    • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to develop messaging and GTM strategy around new products and partnership announcements
    • Have the range and flexibility to be creative—you will be able to develop the 'what, why and how' of our tech and business communications approach, and then deliver on your ideas

Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of PR experience
    • Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills, and you keep an AP Stylebook by your side
    • Daily consumer of content - news, social media, podcasts, etc. and are passionate about crafting compelling storylines across different platforms
    • Extraordinary work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
    • Excellent teammate that works effectively cross-functionally via in-person, phone and virtual channels
    • Developed relationships with media members across tech, news, and business industries
    • Ability to take technical information and disseminate it into concise and easy-to-understand language
    • Passionate about Crunchbase’s culture, mission, and values
    • Bachelor's degree (communications, public relations or journalism), or related certifications
    • Working knowledge of Keynote is a plus
