Senior Test Engineer
Crux Informatics is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to plan and execute the full suite of testing activities through a period of rapid product and company growth with a group of experienced professionals dedicated to bringing the Crux mission of “making data delightful” to life.
You will work closely with core product and engineering teams to handle a wide breadth of testing to improve quality in production and staging environments. This role requires that you are able to take initiative, are comfortable reporting defects and areas for improvement, are comfortable engaging all areas of business to understand pain points and develop solutions, ensure appropriate test cases exists for all defects, can adapt existing test frameworks to production environment and implement new ones as needed, perform release level testing pre and post production deployment, perform integration testing with a many different data suppliers, and are capable of executing automated and manual QA tests throughout the development cycle.
- Superior core QA skills: finding/characterizing/logging bugs, writing test cases, strong understanding of appropriate testing activities in software development lifecycle
- Experience investigating and troubleshooting issues in a production environment
- Good understanding of BDD a plus
- Excellent communication skills especially working with dev, product management, ops
- Deep understanding of REST basics
- Software testing experience in a capital markets/financial services firm a big plus
- Experience with large scale data processing and quality testing big plus
