CSA+Capstone is seeking simulation analysts to execute the design, planning, preparation, execution, and recovery of training events from the company through the Combined Joint Task Force level. Analyzes and designs simulation supported military exercises. Provides subject matter expertise for the Maneuver, Fires, Protection and Sustainment Warfighter functions.  Performs one or more of the following or related activities: 1) Analyzes unit training requirements and designs computer simulation exercises to accomplish them. 2) Analyzes unit performance during computer simulation exercises. 3) Prepares exercise scenarios, war plans, and orders to support exercises. 4) Tests and evaluates computer simulation databases and ensures that simulations are accurately portraying military operations. 5) support assessments input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after-action review of company through COCOM‐level exercises.


    • Performs and provides military exercise analytical support.
    • Develops Design Exercise Support Plans and Exercise Support Manning Documents.
    • Analyzes, develops and synchronizes story lines and Joint Master Scenario Event List.
    • Provides functional expertise to support simulation data base builds.
    • Operates mission command and simulation systems.
    • Supports the development after action review materials.
    • Analyzes military mission requirements in the context of developing computerized simulation exercises and training events.
    • Provides subject matter expertise on the U.S. military exercise system.
    • Is responsible for test stations and system configuration as part of the exercise preparation phase.
    • Performs IT quality assurance of systems and provide feedback to system network administrators.
    • Provides input to exercise design and technical planning products.
    • Supports set-up, transition, and break down for all training and training support activities pertaining to this task order.
    • Participates in individual training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and exercise and training events and supports the planning and preparation processes and product development as needed.

Minimum qualfications

    • Two (2) years of military experience plus a Master's degree in a related field;
    • OR four (4) years of military experience plus a Bachelor's degree in a related field;
    • OR seven (7) years of military experience.


    • Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred qualifications

    • Knowledge of and experience with Army constructive models and simulations 
    • Experience controlling medium to large unit training events and operations for MTC or similar organizations. 
    • Experience executing Mission Command training at battalion level or higher.
    • Knowledge of virtual training simulators, constructive simulations, and Army Games for Training.
    • Familiarity with Army Mission Command Systems/Platforms.
    • Knowledge of planning and executing large training events and how to use the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) to support customer training requirements.
    • Knowledgeable of Army, Joint and NATO Doctrine
    • Ability to write Battalion and higher Operations Orders IAW Army, Joint or NATO doctrine
    • Knowledge of Army Maneuver, Fires and Sustainment Warfighter Functions
    • Knowledgeable in Observer Controller/Trainer functions
    • Experience operating Microsoft Office products.  
    • Outstanding work ethic and personal integrity.
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to document and update processes.
    • Ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
    • Ability to work with senior Government and Industry leaders.
    • Possess a very high degree of attention to detail.
    • Capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods.
    • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 4 weeks.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
