CSA is seeking a SAP Security Officer (SSO) in Langley, VA to provide security support, including personnel, technical, information, and specialized security along with administration support to the USAF Air Combat Command (ACC)  Operations Training division (A3) and branches and to provide connectivity between the Combat Air Forces (CAF), joint staff, Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and the operations community.

How Role Will Make an Impact:

    • Provide support to A3 to develop/review guidance for the development, bed down, sustainment, and/or integration of air, space, and cyberspace Advanced Programs for the CAF.
    • Provide analysis and assistance to A3 and CAF Advanced Programs offices and associate units for all facets of key combat capability.
    • Assist with enforcing the advanced program office physical, personnel, and information security regulations/policies.
    • Maintain inventory, accountability and oversight of advanced program materials and provide oversight for advanced programs facilities.
    • Provide advice and assistance to division and branches on implementation of applicable Government security standards, to include implementing division SAP/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security awareness training program and assisting in conducting security reviews.
    • Review and recommend methods and techniques required to secure AIS.
    • Provide technical guidance and direction during new facility construction or when modifying existing facilities.
    • Provide overall classification management and guidance for Government and DoD contractors involved in special access programs, including implementation of standard methodologies for classification management in collateral and special access programs.
    • Develop, review, and recommend approval of SAP/SCI security awareness training and education programs.
    • Develop, review, and recommend approval of unit security SOPs.
    • Assist with the coordination and conduct of Staff Assistance Visits and Program Reviews.
    • Assist the ISSO in providing technical guidance and recommendations to the government in the methods and techniques required to secure AIS used in support of special access programs.
    • Draft SSP and recommend for approval.
    • Perform system security tests and evaluations on specified systems as needed.
    • Provide support for research, design, and implementation of an AIS security training program.
    • Provide policy and procedural recommendations concerning certification and accreditation for division activities.
    • Provide facility security administration and management.
    • Determine eligibility for SAP and secure network; maintain personnel security files for user access to the network and program databases.
    • Process personnel for clearance to allow access to SAP information network.
    • Ensure personnel processed for access meet the prerequisite personnel clearance or investigative requirements.
    • Oversee an information management system to facilitate the control of requisite information.
    • Assist in annual accountable classified material inventory of vault material.
    • Advise and assist with the construction requirements and facility maintenance IAW SAP and SCI directives.
    • Write, review, and edit concept validation requests and recommend approval.
    • Write, review, and edit FFCs for new/pre-construction and recommend approval.
    • Update FFCs when changes are made.
    • Assist in the conduct of physical security site surveys.
    • Ensure IS comply with JSIG.
    • Assist with the establishment of, and oversee, a visitor control program.
    • Establish reproduction and destruction procedures and methods and recommend approval.
    • Ensure adherence to special communications capabilities.
    • Conduct program indoctrination and annual refresher briefings and debriefings.
    • Assist with the establishment and oversee specialized procedures for the transmission of material to and from program elements.
    • Assist the information security officer/PM with EMSEC and OPSEC.
    • Review and make recommendation in the methods and techniques required to secure AIS systems to include systems evaluation to ensure AIS is working properly.
    • Assist with the establishment and implementation of a visitor control program.
    • Screen candidates for SAP access eligibility using DoD 5205.7, SAP Policy.
    • Maintain and track all personnel security actions.
    • Perform as TSCO responsible for all aspects of managing, controlling, and accounting for Top Secret material.

What you’ll need to have to join our award-winning team:

    • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility
    • NATO Secret clearance eligibility
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 7 years of experience in DoD security management/administration, personnel and program security, and clearance adjudication
    • 5 years of squadron level or higher SCI and SAP experience
