CSA+Capstone is seeking a Simulation Facilitator to join our team in Hohenfels, Germany.

The Simulation Facilitator provides technical expertise for the set-up, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of U.S. military command and control related clients and software tools. Individual shall be the technical expert on the simulation-stimulation of the systems to include the employment of simulations and/or gaming systems that stimulate command and control systems. Support the design, planning, preparation, execution, and recovery of systems to support exercise control. Provide instruction to personnel as designated by the exercise/event lead to meet individual and unit training objectives. Works in support of IT system configuration; troubleshoot issues and provide IT quality assurance.


Responsibilities

    • Provide technical expertise in the set-up, configuration, testing, training, operating and troubleshooting of simulation, gaming and mission command information systems to support individual, collective, and unit training.
    • Support system database development and advise on use of command and control, simulation, and gaming systems to support individual, collective, and unit training objectives.
    • Operates simulation clients and provides functional support and feedback during events.
    • Provide IT configuration of stations and related systems.
    • Supports the technical system used to include writing exercise support plans and identifying personnel requirements.
    • Recover and reconsolidate all systems after the exercise to ensure 100% functionality.
    • Test and provide maintenance and storage of command and control, simulation, and gaming systems.
    • Provide over the shoulder support to the military and civilian personnel on the operation of command and control and supporting simulation systems.
    • Support the After Action Review collection and presentation process.
    • Provide input to exercise design and technical planning products.
    • Support set-up, transition, and break down for all training and training support activities pertaining to this task order.
    • Participate in individual training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and exercise and training events and supports them planning and preparation processes and product development as needed.
    • Perform IT quality assurance of systems and provide feedback to system network administrators
    • Document and update processes including internal training and certification programs.
    • Perform tasks under deadlines.
    • Prepared to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
    • Prepared to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 3 weeks
    • As required, be prepared to support the move and setup/recovery of exercise equipment and furniture IAW approved room builds
    • As required, be prepared to develop assessments input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after-action review of company through COCOM-level exercises

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of recent relevant specialized experience;
    • OR an Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of recent relevant specialized experience;
    • OR a major certification plus seven (7) years of recent relevant specialized experience;
    • OR eleven (11) years of recent relevant specialized experience.
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with U.S. Army Warfighting functions and doctrine.
    • Experience with operating U.S. Army simulations such as JLCCTC, JCATS, MUSE and VBS.
    • Experience with US DoD modeling and simulation.
    • Experience with Joint Exercise Life Cycle.
    • Ability to document and update processes.
    • Ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
    • Ability to work with senior government and Industry leaders.
    • High degree of attention to detail.
    • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 3 weeks.
    • Ability to support the move and setup/recovery of exercise equipment and furniture in accordance with approved room builds.
    • Ability to develop assessments input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after action review of company through COCOM‐level exercises.
