The Creative Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for organizing & managing product used in marketing photo and video shoots to ensure accurate and appropriate product placement. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, deep understanding of gear, and is self-motivated. This role provides an opportunity for the candidate to further their career at Backcountry, while gaining exposure to the various departments in the organization.
 
This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team.  
  
This position will report into the Production Manager.

What you get to do every day:

    • Overall organization of photo studio hardgood and softgood product samples
    • Working with Buying teams to request vendor samples for content shoots
    • Work with Marketing teams to align product ordering to annual calendar
    • Ordering, receiving, organizing, and prepping product to be shot
    • Packing and building product to be sent on location shoots
    • Managing product transportation and prep for on-location captures
    • Boxing and returning products to align with return windows
    • Troubleshooting shipping issues/delays and working with warehouse to guarantee timely delivery of featured product
    • Harness AI solutions to simplify ordering, tracking, and scheduling processes, elevating workflow efficiency and fueling scalable creative operations

What you bring to the role:

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Proven knowledge of outdoor apparel, gear and their technical features
    • Ability to be on your feet, lifting & moving boxes under 50lbs
    • Visual merchandising or retail experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Interest and understanding of the Backcountry Brand aesthetic and customer
    • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize competing tasks
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with
