Project Overview/Background
- Study how a Linux-malware works and demonstrate understanding
- Implement a detection tool for a specified malware
Scope & Deliverables
- Research at least 1 Linux malware and survey commonly used functional techniques for that malware to accomplish its goals
- Develop a simple detection tool for the malware
- Present research findings and demonstration of the detection tool
Prerequisites/Skills Required
- Basic C Programming
- Basic understanding of Operating Systems (preferably Linux)
- Comfortable in troubleshooting / debugging software
