This is a full-time position reporting to Manager, R&D Operations.
The primary responsibility includes clinical trial sample management for 4+ clinical trials with novel therapeutics currently undergoing testing in oncology patients. Management entails the tracking of patient sample inventories and coordinating sample shipments to Cullinan’s biomarker business partners. Additional responsibilities include acting as the finance business partner to R&D, with responsibilities including purchasing, contract management, and financial oversight. The R&D finance business partner will be the first point of contact for budgeting and helping the R&D team through reforecasting business cycles.
Position Responsibilities:
- Clinical Trial Sample Management Responsibilities
- Manage and track clinical trial patient samples (inventory)
- Work closely with the clinical trial CRO, central laboratory, and sample analysis vendors
- Create shipping requests to the central laboratory
- Identify and resolve any missing samples or discrepancies
- Additional Responsibilities: Finance
- Create and manage purchase orders within accounting system (NetSuite)
- Support Development team in quarterly accrual/reforecasting process with the Finance team
- Help resolve any purchase order or invoicing issues
- Additional Responsibilities: Contracts
- Working with legal team and vendors to ensure standard contract terms are in contracts based on Company guidelines (net payment days, termination clauses, etc.)
- Use of Agiloff contracts management software
Candidate Requirements:
- BS Undergraduate degree+
- 2+ years sample management experience
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Highly collaborative with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Finance and Purchasing experience from within a pharmaceutical/biotech R&D setting, nice to have.
- Contracts management experience (consulting agreements, SOWs, CDAs, NDAs, MSAs), nice to have.
