Cuningham seeks a results-driven Human Resources Business Partner, with a keen focus on talent, to share in our vision to dream big, be daring, and create change.  Reporting to the Executive Director of People, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for collaborating with the HR team, supervisors and firm leaders to implement enterprise-wide people processes. This role will focus on talent acquisition and talent management.
 
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully execute talent acquisition best practices as well as talent management initiatives. This role could work daily in one of our six offices with the option to work in hybrid mode. Occasional travel is required.

What you will do

    • Manage full lifecycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates to hiring managers.
    • Build, curate, and maintain an effective talent pipeline including both active and passive candidates through effective sourcing strategies, community engagement and relationship building.
    • Build Cuningham’s employment brand in our communities and with key universities, networking, and industry organizations.
    • Manage engagement with ATS, coach users, ensure effective application and lead decisions regarding tool selection and optimization
    • Oversee the performance review and feedback process to drive high performance, implement HR technology to simplify and streamline feedback channels.
    • Develop and lead internal training efforts on a range of HR subjects. Support training and coaching from external partners.
    • Support and engage supervisors in employee feedback and performance improvement efforts.
    • Meet with leadership to discuss personnel issues, concerns or actions needed; help facilitate resolution.
    • Drive and support the design and implementation of HR best practices that create a high performing and engaging firm culture.
    • Support cross-functional needs and special projects within the People Practice.
    • Nurture a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.

What we look for

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field.
    • 8-15 years of progressive HR experience in HR generalist-oriented roles; specialty experience focused on talent acquisition and talent development preferred. Experience working in the AEC industry or professional services preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills including active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the firm’s vision, purpose and growth opportunities to candidates.
    • Ability to build and effectively manage relationships at all levels of the firm, both in-person and virtually, that facilitates open dialogue and trust. 
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
    • Hands-on experience optimizing HR systems and tools; Paycom HRIS and Lever ATS experience ideal.
    • Proficiency in utilizing networking platforms, social media, and other recruitment tools to identify and approach potential candidates.
    • Previous experience working for a multi-state employer and navigating compliance issues including pay transparency.
$90,000 - $130,000 a year
Compensation provided is based on our national range which varies by work location and may also depend on accreditation, experience and responsibilities.  Our talent management team can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
