Emerging professional. Performs specific/limited portions of assignments. Under general supervision, works from the design of others and performs architectural assignments. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills and judgment in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Often coordinates internal and external (consultants, clients, contractors, etc.) project design efforts. Develops planning and creative-design concepts for projects. Prepares presentation and design drawings and details. Assignments may include higher-level work for training/development purpose

What you will do

    • Ability to collaboratively resolve complex technical / design issues with team  to produce innovative solutions 
    • Experience with creating and modifying plans and specifications
    • Knowledge of architectural drawings and their organization
    • Under the supervision of project leadership: develop conceptual, schematic,  design development, and working drawing documents
    • Coordinate architectural construction documents with other engineering disciplines  including review and integration of their work
    • Assist in design detailing of work and ensure proper completion
    • Ability to self-evaluate appropriateness, quality, and completeness of own work
    • Mentor junior staff; support team members in accomplishing goals and objectives
    • Communication skills: provides clear, concise information to others via verbal or written communication; actively listens and learns through observation. Seeks to understand others' points of view looking  at verbal and non-verbal cues to encourage open and honest discussions

What we look for

    • Technical, vocational or non-professional bachelor’s degree; professional degree  (bachelor’s or higher) in architecture or related field preferred
    • Three - Seven years of industry experience; Multi-Family housing and/or Senior Living preferred
    • Able to perform the duties, handle the responsibilities, and has the knowledge,  skills, and qualifications of a designer I
    • Proficient in designing, space planning, finish and material selection, detailing,  documentation and constructability
    • Basic understanding of how to apply building codes and other applicable regulations
    • Proficient in Revit, Microsoft 365. Other skills such as Bluebeam, Rhino, Adobe, etc. are desired
    • Strong graphic communication skills
