We are currently looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our organization as a Senior Vice President of Risk Management. 

About Your Role 

We are looking for a well-rounded risk management leader from a traditional bank background who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace continuous learning and challenges. The ideal candidate will  implement and manage our company-wide risk framework, and will oversee all aspects of the organization's risk management functions including risk assessment, fraud, vendor management, regulatory compliance. You will be a part of the senior management team, but we are looking for someone to come in and build the framework from the ground up, accountable for managing the risk profile of Custodia Bank, and be ready to jump in on Day One. 

Salary Range 

$150,000 to $200,000

Responsibilities & Results

    • Assess, update, and maintain the risk assessments for the bank and escalate risks outside of approved residual risk tolerance levels from assessment to action plans and implementation.
    • Execute and update vendor management program with appropriate reporting as needed.
    • Assess, manage, and implement controls related to vendor relationships in order to provide a safe and secure operating environment at the bank.
    • Review, identify, assess and address fraud risk, familiar with fraud detection software and methodology as well as appropriate controls and mitigation, experience producing necessary fraud reporting.
    • Responsible for the design and roll out of all the risk management policies, responsible for drafting new policies, reviewing and updating existing policies, and ensuring these policies are maintained on an ongoing basis according to local regulation and company level standards.
    • Provide reporting and mitigation as it relates to risk incidents including universal risk parameters and key risk indicators (KRI).
    • Understand relevant governance and control assessment frameworks and/or standards
    • Report on the current assessed level of risk and document recommendations on managing risks, including initiatives that result in process improvement and enhanced accuracy of reporting.
    • Support and report on the annual internal audit risk assessment process and collaborate with key stakeholders across all functions to address any action plans.

What You’ll Bring

    • Knowledge and experience in bank regulations and compliance, specifically as it applies to fraud, operational risk oversight, and vendor management.
    • Demonstrated experience in building and executing risk management function(s) within bank environments, including assessments and reporting.
    • 5-10+ years experience in completing risk assessments, managing, addressing and measuring risk in a traditional bank environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (finance, economics etc.) required – MBA preferred.
    • Experience with accepted industry frameworks
    • Track record in designing, delivering and managing complex business risk models.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
