The Role
We are seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to tackle complex testing challenges across our multi-layered banking platform. You will be instrumental in building robust automation frameworks that ensure the reliability of our banking infrastructure, spanning mobile apps, web interfaces, APIs, and core banking systems.
As a leader in automation strategy, you'll have the exciting opportunity to spearhead the automation efforts for a comprehensive banking platform, encompassing everything from customer onboarding to core banking operations. This role involves working with cutting-edge fintech technologies and modern banking integrations to build robust frameworks that efficiently handle complex financial transactions and ensure stringent regulatory compliance testing. You'll also be instrumental in pioneering innovative automation solutions specifically designed for our microservices architecture and cloud-native banking platform.
What You’ll Do
- Architect our next-generation test automation framework for web, mobile, and API testing
- Lead the evolution of our continuous testing strategy within our CI/CD pipeline
- Drive automation initiatives across our platform components: lending, payments, KYC, and core banking
- Mentor and grow a team of automation engineers while fostering a culture of quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in test automatin
- Develop strategies for testing complex banking workflows and regulatory compliance requirements
Who You Are
- TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystem expertise
- Experience with modern testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- API testing expertise (eg. REST, GraphQL)
- CI/CD pipeline development (eg. GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Mobile testing automation (eg. Appium, XCUITest, Espresso)
- Performance testing experience
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS)
Nice to have
- Experience with banking/financial systems testing
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance testing (APRA, ASIC requirements)
- Experience with security testing automation
- Experience using AI tools in automation
