About the Job: Cyderes is looking for a dedicated and creative Team Lead to join the Cyderes Engineering team. We are looking for a result-driven team leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a team of engineers to achieve the organization’s objectives and team goals. You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. You should create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to maximize the team's potential.

The primary function of the Team lead will be leading a team whose responsibilities include: data ingestion, network troubleshooting, SSO administration, Bindplane support, supplying technical support to clients, among other tasks. We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of networking and related protocols, network and computer security concepts. Candidate must also have experience in telemetry (log) monitoring and experience in investigating and researching log events through SIEMs or other related centralized logging technologies. Candidate should also bring the right attitude to the team including honesty, accuracy, and positivity. Additionally, candidates will need to have a customer-first attitude and be comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

    • Report to the director of Telemetry Engineering with both successes and failures.
    • Lead the day-to-day activities for a small team, while also being a contributor.
    • Motivating the team to achieve organizational and team goals.
    • Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
    • Delegating tasks to team members.
    • Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.
    • Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
    • Assisting in annual reviews and goal setting
    • Encourage creativity and risk-taking
    • Suggest and organize team building activities
    • Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
    • Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of Network / Computer Security Experience
    • Experience and positive track record for displaying strong leadership skills
    • Experience on leading teams and individuals
    • Intermediate level of networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
    • Experience with monitoring and investigating various telemetry (log) output
    • Ability to work amicably with clients (both internal and external)
    • Basic level understanding of development practices and languages
    • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of Network / Computer Security Experience
    • Operating systems logging experience (Windows and Linux)
    • Experience in system administration practices
    • Experience working with security telemetry software / platforms (Firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Operating Systems).
    • Proven scripting or development experience (e.g. Powershell, Python, or JavaScript)
    • Experience with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and common SaaS applications (e.g. Office 365, Okta, Salesforce, Proofpoint)
    • Proven project management success
    • Bindplane experience a plus
    • Proven core competency in any of the above
