An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Accountant to join our Global Corporate Head Office based in Dandenong South. Working alongside our Senior Finance team, the Accountant position is a varied and challenging role which will be responsible for processing, supporting financial inputs and producing financial results for a series of companies and trusts.

Daniels also has 2 large charities with over $50m invested, and a large growing property group and investment arm investing into direct investment, managed funds and other PE type activities.

Key Responsibilties:

    • Financial Reporting- Prepare monthly reporting packs and associated reports for assigned business entities and assist with actual and forecast cash flow reports for Corporate entities
    • General Ledger- Process month-end journals into Microsoft BC (all relevant entities), Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations and analyses after finalising end of month (all relevant entities)
    • Reconciliations- Maintain fixed asset registers- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, Reconcile accounts of non-operating entities on a quarterly basis. Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for local and foreign currency accounts
    • Compliance- Assist with the preparation of BAS Returns for assigned business entities in multiple jurisdictions

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting
    • Must have 3 + years' experience working in a Public Accounting Firm
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Good understanding of reconciliations
    • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Competent user of software packages and Microsoft Office software (advanced Excel skills)
    • Flexible and able to handle change easily
    • Organised and works well in a team environment
    • Willing to undertake their CPA/CA designation
