The Hazardous Waste Coordinator is the resident expert for hazardous materials at our Fresno Plant. They are expected to be accurate and knowledgeable from beginning to end of our Hazardous Waste processes as well as governmental regulations. The Coordinator must be an excellent communicator and regularly communicate with internal teams, external hazardous waste partners, and occasionally customers.
What you will do
- Respond to hazardous waste inquiries from Daniels Health team members and assist with issue resolution.
- Manage customer complaints and requests in Salesforce with accuracy and timely escalation.
- Audit and process driver paperwork, waste labeling, and container demarcation to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update inventory systems, hazardous container records, and label orders.
- Segregate and move waste within the plant, ensuring proper handling and regulatory compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with the National Hazardous Waste Specialist.
- Communicate promptly with plant management regarding service issues and uphold environmental safety standards.
What we are looking for
- 1 year of experience in Customer Service/Administrative role
- Willingness to be hands on in plant operations
- Industry experience within operational environments and production platforms is ideal
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills to be able to efficiently report
- Salesforce experience is preferred but not required
- Proven experience within process improvement
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
