As a key member of our Walton team, you’ll oversee transportation operations, manage fleet and driver performance, and ensure regulatory standards are met—all while driving continuous improvement and supporting a culture of safety and accountability.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead transport strategy, safety initiatives, and fleet management aligned with national standards and business goals.
- Oversee daily transport operations, resource planning, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and improve transport efficiency, customer service metrics (DIFOT, NPS), and cost performance.
- Build and manage a high-performing transport team, including supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development across the transport function.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Field Service, Customer Service, P&C) to support service delivery and growth.
- Report on transport performance, manage vendor relationships, and implement cost control measures.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of senior transport experience at management level
- Transport capital budgeting experience
- Experience in medical waste or related regulated industry is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of transport safety regulations
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- CDL License and driving experience highly regarded
