Sales – Finance and Strategy
The Darkstore team is looking to grow our Finance and Strategy team to help improve strategic and operational decision-making company-wide. Our team's core focus is to conduct rigorous data analysis and build analytical tools that help hack company growth. You must be passionate about data and financial reasoning, and be comfortable diving deep and making sense of an unstructured environment. You must have a deep attention to detail and think critically about the cross-functional nature of the analyses you conduct and the audience they address.

You will work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment with the executive team, sales and account leads, finance leads, and engineers. You are comfortable working independently on mission-critical projects while also collaborating across teams to solicit feedback and gather insight. You must be a great communicator and fit naturally in both, sales meeting with c-level executives, and in high-level engineering discussions.

What You'll Do

    • Support sales team decision-making by building reporting tools that are cross-functionally utilized and accurate
    • Develop analytical frameworks to track KPIs by brand and team in order to find opportunities for growth and expansion
    • Support operational and logistics decision-making by analyzing inventory data (turnover, aging, etc.)
    • Build, update and maintain brand forecasts for internal and external stakeholders
    • Clean existing data and construct tools to evaluate historical performance and measure progress against company and team-wide goals
    • Prepare analyses and communications with investors and company executives

What You'll Bring

    • BA/BS required in a quantitative field (mathematics, computer science, economics, finance, data science, operations research)
    • 2-6+ years of relevant experience with data/financial modeling in a quantitative role (e.g. investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, management consulting, sales/operations analyst etc.)
    • Experience with SQL, R, and/or Python required
    • Excellent proficiency in Excel required
    • Excellent quantitative skills, and utilization of data to inform decision-making
    • Sense of urgency and high attention to detail
    • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
    • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a growing and changing organization
    • Outstanding written and verbal skills
