We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer who has extensive experience building online (self-learning), virtual instructor-led and classroom based training. The ID will also be responsible for creating innovative training strategies like negotiation, product value, account planning, prospecting, etc.; that scale across our global business. The Sales Enablement team aims to provide exceptional support to Dataiku sellers and partners looking to grow the Dataiku DSS footprint in the market and drive sales. As a key part of this, we create and maintain high quality training programs for our Data Science experts.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, has excellent verbal and written expression skills, a sharp analytical mind, and has a strong interest in data science/artificial intelligence. S/he will be an expert in applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodology and is passionate about the  learner experience. S/he will also be aware of current trends and integrate them into the content & materials to make them relevant to today.

Responsibilities

    • Create, design and execute full curriculum of training programs, both in classroom and virtual, including content
    • Develop trainings that can be delivered virtually to allow for flexibility; incl. Videos, games, simulations, narration/audio
    • Create mechanisms to ensure learners have completed the necessary training and trainings are creating a positive impact on the business. Measurement of success is critical.
    • Effectively identify gaps in training and prioritize development of training materials. Iterate/maintain training materials as necessary.
    • Design, edit and optimize content for translation/localization.
    • Schedule and design the roll out of the curriculum (program manage)
    • Partner effectively with broader operations team, sales leadership, R&D to identify team-specific enablement priorities
    • Conduct Train-the-Trainer to prepare Trainers so they can deliver training to local teams
    • Deliver trainings in-person as needed
    • Stay up to date on the Data Science space and the Dataiku product
    • Build a trusted partnership with sales and intimately know their business.
    • Gather feedback from sales to consistently improve enablement effortsInternational travel required 20%

Qualifications

    • At least 5 years’ experience in an instructional design role.
    • English natively and idiomatically
    • Background working in technology
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a communication, education or related field.

Preferred qualifications

    • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in learning design and development, or relevant field
    • Experience in data science or cloud space preferred
    • Demonstrated experience developing curriculum that is in line with current industry and adult learning standards.
    • Demonstrated experience developing training collateral, eLearning and self-directed learning modules, performance support aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials (such as games, videos, narratives, etc.) and adapting based on learning method/outcome
    • Experience with coordination, collaboration and organization at a global scale
    • Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness and present ROI to stakeholders and leaders.
    • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate
    • Program management experience
