DataLab’s 3P Data Team has evolved to be the central location for all third-party sourced data and process questions at DL.
Primarily responsible for third party data management which includes:
•production data deliveries
•interfacing with our Supplier Partners
•questions from internal DL teams on data issues
•requests for data (including data access)
•coordinating the testing of new data

Internal communication is integral to ensure DL client teams know what data is available; this includes results of evaluations, changes to any data, etc.  Most is communicated through News Flashes and DLDS Wiki pages, as well as email announcements.  In addition to data coordination and communication, the DLDS team also promotes overall efficiency in data governance (DG) and other processes, including script creation to automate processes for identifying DG concerns/issues.

Duties and responsibilities:
Production
Liaison between supplier production teams and DataLab DS team
Work with DS team and Client teams on data issues/questions from QC reports
Work with DS team to ensure data is delivered on schedule (especially triggers and DLINK sources)
Manage the creation and updates to the yearly data delivery schedule
Review and approve cover letters, specs, release notes and other documents sent ahead of and with file deliveries for anomalies, accuracy, and general information
Manage Analytics trigger warehouse
Data Solutions Team Support
Interpret, evaluate, and respond in a timely manner to a wide variety of supplier partner inquiries
Facilitate any necessary communications between internal team and 3P data supplier partners – or manage directly with supplier partner 
Maintain and develop “speed dial” relationships to key production partners with our third-party supplier partners
Support some supplier partner billing and usage reporting as required/requested
Onboarding and offboarding data sources and layout changes
Participate with Internal Team in evaluating new data assets
Create data lists and other projects as needed
Assist with business development projects
Manage DLDS projects and initiatives that tie into internal team requests

Send out news flashes and other internal communications of significant data acquisitions and updates
Assist internal teams with supplier partners SFTP, cloud, and other connections
Understanding of DL concepts and products
Data Governance (DG) Management
Utilize SQL to run procedures
Onboarding new clients and supply partner usage access
Develop new SQL procedures
Expand DG capabilities
Quality Control
Assist internal teams with DG questions and conduct training sessions
Review and respond to Quality Control reports
Utilize DG framework logs
Manage attribute naming
Overall Data Classification: Based on regulation and/or industry standards
Client Team Support
Handle initial “data” inquiries from client teams (triage as either self-help vs some interaction with supplier required vs strategic support required)
Balance data partner requests or requirements against client priorities. 
Act as the internal subject matter expert for in-house data, associated business processes, and marketing campaign business and compliance rules
Periodically engage with client teams to understand and interpret clients’ marketing campaign criteria and results, as they relate to data attribute performance.
Maintain (and build where necessary) DataLab’s master data library, to include not just scheduling, layouts, file information, but also:
Full profile description for all data files
Including Data Classification based on Info Mgmt Policy
Potentially: Analytic commentary on assets (solution sheets)
Problem solving, strategy, and research skills to help support client challenges
Coordinate with internal teams
Documentation 
Facilitate Data Change Management Structure
Manage/enforce processes for tracking in JIRA; maintain as support for audit purposes.
Develop internal data audit (QC)
Participate in the definition of QC/QA/Test measures
As necessary, forecasting resource (system and personnel) needs
Create and maintain fact sheets on individual data sources
Create new pages and maintain the DLDS Wiki
Maintain and update DL’s repository of documentation for use by the Data Team and company as a whole
Assist with maintaining DL scope of data slides and creating new slides
